Your canvas awaits

easelWe each have a blank canvas for our life. We add paint to that canvas every day. Through thoughts, actions, experiences, relationships and daydreams. Some areas of the canvas are more defined than others. Some days we add bright colors; some days are darker. There are big bold strokes and small delicate strokes.

We can also make it a solid color and start over if we find that it’s a muddy mess. I’ve done that a few times in my life. Although, I’ve found that the texture will remain in the background from the previous brushstrokes.

Your masterpiece is yours for the making. What are you painting with your life?

YOUR masterpiece is unique to you. If you have determined your purpose, your life has more clarity and vision. Your life painting begins to look less abstract and more defined. It begins to all come together.

I have found that the more clarity you have for your life purpose, the more disciplined your activities become each day. Your purpose directs your steps. It provides a focus point. Additionally, your purpose energizes and excites you to come back to the “easel” and continue the work.

Our purpose in life is discovered when we find the thing that we can’t not do. We are each uniquely made to have a positive impact in the lives of those around us. Our gifts are intended to be shared. I also believe that our purpose is already in us, it just needs to be uncovered.

“You will never be successful in a job. You will only be truly successful in your purpose.”
– Dr. Myles Munroe

“It is not enough to be industrious; so are the ants. What are you industrious about?”
– Henry David Thoreau

“What am I living for and what am I dying for are the same question.”
– Margaret Atwood

If you had time to do anything you wanted and a year or five years later feel that you had made a difference, what would that be?

What are you “painting” today? Maybe thinking on your purpose will bring you clarity and get you back to the easel. Your canvas awaits. The world needs your masterpiece.
