A chosen place that pulls

“If you are working on something exciting that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you.“ – Steve Jobs

IMG_4501This is true in our professional and personal lives. A vision of a preferred future is more than motivation. It’s a path. It’s a chosen place you move toward.

Companies that offer clear vision find employee teams working on a variety of projects that align and offer opportunities for collaboration. With a vision, everyone is naturally propelled forward together.

In our personal lives, clear vision means we don’t plod through our days, bouncing like a ball in a pinball machine. Without vision, we may be “busy” with our days. However month to month or year to year, nothing really changes. Taking a dream off the shelf, defining it and creating a plan is exciting and motivating.

Dream again. Dream BIG. Name your vision. Claim it. Then determine what you can do today to move toward it. What will you do tomorrow? What will you do next week? Don’t worry about perfection. The cost of not having a vision for what’s possible is far greater than stepping out and making a few mistakes. Let your vision pull you.

What is your vision? Where are you heading? What’s your preferred future?
